Understanding of Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development

Traditional understanding of sustainable development is associated with the desire to meet the needs of the present generation without threating the future generations’ needs, which can only be done taking into consideration the positions of the parties concerned constantly interacting with them and integrating this practice into all business processes of the company.

Federal Grid Company agrees to this understanding and is forced (because of its special role in the energy industry, economy and social development of the country) to significantly supplement and define more exactly this understanding. This section also provides an up-to-date version of the public agenda in the area of sustainable development, as well as a retrospective of the development of the Company’s non-financial reporting and 2012 main events significant in the context of CSR and sustainable development.
